Maintenance Technician

Fairfield by Marriott Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch is seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team! The ideal candidate will help maintain the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and associates.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's physical infrastructure remains in optimal condition. This role involves addressing guest requests, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting in the repair of equipment and facilities. The technician will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer or General Manager to support the hotel's operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in building maintenance or related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance, preferably within the

hospitality industry.

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
