Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We are a growing farming business in East Yorkshire across multiple enterprises including livestock and crop production. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our current team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our facilities, equipment, and systems are operating smoothly and efficiently. This hands-on role requires a practical problem-solver who takes pride in keeping things running right. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Assist with construction and groundworks of new buildings
• Handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor mechanical issues.
• Carry out routine ground’s maintenance keeping our sites presentable
• Carry out inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Maintain records of work completed and report any safety or structural concerns.
• Assist with setting up or dismantling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

What we’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a maintenance or building role.
• Strong general repair skills – plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the role.
• Experience in agriculture, livestock feed, water and slurry systems would be advantageous but not essential.
• Qualification to operate machinery such as telehandlers, diggers and tractors would be advantageous but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
