Maintenance Technician

As an Outpost Maintenance Guy, you are the "Social Support System." You are the problem-solver who keeps the hostel running. You understand that a broken Wi-Fi router or a warm beer fridge is a "social emergency," and you take pride in being the person who saves the day for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Rapid Response: React quickly to guest and staff reports. If a light is out in a dorm or a shower is cold, you fix it with a smile, knowing that comfort leads to connection.

• Communal Upkeep: Daily checks of the high-traffic areas. You make sure the pool is sparkling, the bar equipment is humming, and the lounge furniture is sturdy.
• Proactive Repairs: Assist the Maintenance Head in daily tasks like painting, basic plumbing, and electrical work to keep the property looking "Instagram-ready."
• Guest Interaction: While working in common areas, be approachable. A friendly "Good morning" while you're fixing a deck chair helps guests feel that they are in a cared-for home.
• Tool & Shop Care: Keep the maintenance workshop organized and safe, ensuring you always have the right tool to get the job done fast.
• Systems Engineering: Managing complex HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, smart lighting grids, and commercial pool filtration.
• Network Infrastructure: Troubleshooting high-density Wi-Fi routers and mesh networks to ensure zero downtime for digital nomads.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM) Software: Utilizing digital ticketing systems to track and execute scheduled facility audits.
