Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment as assigned to maintain the physical structure and grounds of the hotel property. He/she is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests and other work orders as assigned. They are responsible for performing in a safe and efficient manner all duties assigned. Have excellent service skills in dealing with clients, guests, and co-workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspections and Repairs:
• Regularly inspect hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and exterior spaces, to identify potential maintenance issues.
• Perform repairs on various systems, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural elements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement solutions.
• Respond to guest room maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure all room fixtures and equipment are in good working condition.
• Preventative Maintenance:
• Implement the Brand Standard preventative maintenance program using Quore to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, lubricating equipment, and checking for leaks.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Maintain and repair hotel equipment, including laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
• Other Duties:
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and storage areas.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Use Quore to document maintenance activities, including work orders and repairs.
• Ensure the hotel property is safe and secure for guests and staff.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Test pool and spa chemicals routinely and maintain logs.
• Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

· Must always be attentive, courteous, and efficient in dealings with the clients, guests, managers, and all other employees.

· Always comply with compliance standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

· Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.

· Develop a team player attitude for the good of the hotel.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
