We're preparing to launch a brand-new regional distribution centre in Avonmouth and are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in keeping our operation running safely, efficiently and reliably.

What You'll Be Doing

• As part of the site engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the building, infrastructure and operational equipment across the distribution centre.
• Key responsibilities include:
• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical and building services faults
• Supporting the safe operation of all site assets and infrastructure
• Managing contractors and specialist suppliers on-site
• Ensuring all compliance requirements are met, including statutory inspections and maintenance records
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Assisting with energy reduction and sustainability initiatives
• Contributing to a positive safety-first engineering culture

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with engineers from a variety of backgrounds including warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, facilities management, building services and industrial maintenance.

You'll ideally have:

• Recognised Electrical or HVAC qualification
• Maintenance experience within an industrial, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing or facilities environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Good understanding of health and safety best practices
• Experience working with contractors and external service providers
• A proactive approach and desire to take ownership of site standards
• Additional qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, IPAF, SEMA or CSCS are advantageous but not essential.

Shift Premiums

In addition to your annual salary:

• £3.25 per hour for hours worked between 18:00 - 22:00
• £4.25 per hour for hours worked between 22:00 - 06:00
