Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the effective utilization of production equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery and controls, maintaining inventory and tools, performing preventive maintenance, contributing to process improvement projects, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective utilization of production equipment.
• Assist in prioritizing, scheduling and leading maintenance projects to ensure timely and effective repairs
• Maintain inventory and organize tools and critical replacement parts in the shop.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance (PM) on all plant equipment, including lubrication, replacement of worn parts, filters, and equipment inspection.
• Contribute to process improvement projects as required.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in general computer skills, including Microsoft 365.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical drawings, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulic schematics, and procedure manuals.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with PLC, CNC, and PC controls, PLC(Allen Bradley) programming experience a plus.
• Automation experience, including servo motors, sensor interactions, proximity switches, networking connections between machinery to pass information to related programs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical controls, many different voltages 480, 380, 277, 208, 110.
• Previous experience working in industrial manufacturing; experience in metal forming, glass, or vinyl window manufacturing is a plus.
• Running conduit and building control panels experience.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and controls.
• Welding and Fabrication skills a plus.
• Ability to lift as much as 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
