Role Description The Groundskeeper is a full-time, on-site role located in Indianapolis, IN, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal of all outdoor areas at Franklin Cove Apartments. Day-to-day tasks include mowing, trimming, and edging lawns; maintaining flower beds and shrubbery; removing weeds and debris; and ensuring walkways, parking lots, and common areas are free of trash and hazards. The role also involves seasonal upkeep such as leaf removal, snow and ice management, and preparing outdoor spaces for changing weather conditions. The Groundskeeper performs basic outdoor repairs, reports maintenance issues to the property manager, and works collaboratively with the onsite team to support resident satisfaction and property standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in general grounds maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, and basic outdoor repairs.
• Candidates should possess skills in safe use of landscaping tools and equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
• Candidates should possess skills in time management and organization to complete daily tasks efficiently and meet seasonal maintenance needs.
• Candidates should possess skills in communication and teamwork to coordinate with property management and other staff members.
• Candidates should possess the ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facilities maintenance is beneficial.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and a consistent work ethic are required.
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to property policies and local regulations is expected.
