Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Maintenance Technician to join our team at Smithtown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facility. This is a per diem position, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, day and evenings. If you possess basic maintenance and repair knowledge and are able to adapt to new responsibilities, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, fixtures, and appliances throughout the facility
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure continuous facility operation
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and protocols
• Perform other maintenance tasks as needed, including basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work
• Fix furniture or repairing, painting, wall repair as needed

Requirements:

• **Basic maintenance and repair knowledge
• Ability to adapt to new responsibilities and tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the facility with ease
• High school diploma or equivalent required**
