Field Properties is seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Powder Mill Apartments in York, PA.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and understands the importance of providing excellent customer service to our residents. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who can handle a variety of maintenance responsibilities while helping us maintain a safe, attractive, and welcoming apartment community.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform general apartment repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
• Complete apartment turnovers, including inspections, repairs, and preparation for new residents.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and common areas.
• Maintain the property's grounds, buildings, and common areas to ensure a clean and attractive appearance.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide effective, timely solutions.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
• Follow company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in apartment maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related trade preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize daily responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
• HVAC or EPA certification is a plus, but not required.
