Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to join our team at VINTECH Industries. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will contribute to our commitment to quality and innovation while supporting our dedicated workforce.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong electrical skills.
• Experience with machinery maintenance practices.
• Previous experience working with robotics systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be willing/able to work 3rd Shift (11 pm to 7 am).

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventative Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain production machinery including building systems like electrical systems, lighting, HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and fire safety equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns. This includes charting.

2. Emergency Response: Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. This may include outside of regular working hours, including after-hours callouts.

3. Work Order Management: Review and prioritize work orders, completing tasks according to assigned deadlines and documenting repairs.

4. Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, adjust and repair malfunctions in various systems, including malfunctioning equipment, electrical faults, plumbing leaks, and faulty HVAC components.

5. Installation: Installation of new machinery and other plant facilities’ equipment.

6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including dates, repairs performed, and parts used.

7. Parts Inventory: Maintain inventory of necessary replacement parts and supplies, working with our MRO buyer to order new stock as needed.

8. Basic Maintenance Tasks: Perform minor repairs like painting, patching walls, replacing light bulbs, and basic carpentry work.

9. Comprehension: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

10. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of tools and personal protective equipment. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Education:

HS Diploma, two-year associate industrial maintenance degree preferred

Licenses/Certificate:

Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) certification, Electrical, HVAC, Hi-lo certification preferred but will take experience into account.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Maintenance. Previous extrusion and/or molding maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
