Maintenance Technician

Join an established, growing full-service residential property management company serving primarily single-family homes, duplexes, and fourplexes in Northwest and North Central San Antonio. The Maintenance and Landscaping Technician will complete work orders, inspections, make-ready projects, preventive maintenance, and renovation support across multiple properties in the service area. This role reports directly to a property manager and uses a mobile work-order app and property management software to receive and document work. Compensation is $21–$25 per hour depending on experience, plus bonuses and mileage, with benefits including a 401(k) with a 6% match, holiday pay, paid vacation, and a Health Savings Plan contribution. Advancement opportunities include Property Operations Specialist and Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders involving light carpentry, property maintenance, and detail work.
• Perform property inspections and simple make-ready inspections before and after tenant occupancy.
• Support turnover and make-ready renovation projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential issues beyond assigned work.
• Notify the property manager of additional issues and recommended work.
• Assist with assigning HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting work to appropriate vendors.
• Verify that assigned vendor work has been completed.
• Document work orders and property conditions using a mobile work-order app and property management software.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with tenants and vendors.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable personal transportation for travel between multiple properties across the service area.
• Professional appearance and communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently without direct oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of residential property maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with light carpentry, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
• Property inspection experience.
• Strong attention to detail and independent work skills.
• Professional communication skills.
