Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

This is a full-time position responsible for the installation, and continued maintenance of all equipment and structural components in the facility. Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical; AC/DC up to 480V 3-Phase power, reading and interpreting diagrams and schematics, and a basic understanding of Variable Frequency Drives and Programmable Logic Controllers. Nonni’s Maintenance Technicians are flexible, team driven, and have the aptitude to work on any equipment within the facility. Answering calls for maintenance will be a part of the regular day.

While we pride ourselves for having a stable work environment, know that market demands will dictate our work schedule. This means, as a Maintenance Technician, you will perform intrusive maintenance tasks on days where no production is scheduled. All weekend work is scheduled ahead of time barring any emergencies. If you want O/T pay, the hours will be there for you. The Maintenance team is often required to work at a fast pace, ensuring that work performed will maintain productivity while maintaining a sanitary environment.

Previous experience in baking and confectionary operations, to include high-speed wrapping and packing, is highly preferred. Hands on position.

Responsibilities

Works with outside contractors as necessary.

Maintains a supply of replacement parts and materials sufficient to maintain production operations and order parts and supplies as needed.

Must be trained in and be familiar with: Hot work permitting, Lock-out Tag-out, Right-to-Know (MSDS), Emergency procedures and effective use of PPE.

Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.

Must be able to understand and proactively endorse GMP, HACCP, Allergen, SQF and other regulations. Training will be provided.

Must be able to read basic blueprints and electrical schematics.

Ability to properly and safely use hand and power tools.

Welding and machine shop skills are desirable.

Rolling toolbox must be provided within 90 days of start date.

Must be able to work in a safe and sanitary manor.

Additional responsibilities as required and assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or demonstrated ability to perform this position.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals with an ability to write and speak clearly and informatively in English. Spanish speaking preferred.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to use basic math skills and interpreting numbers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations. Must show ability to troubleshoot complex systems using sound technical knowledge.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer use skills. Programs will be introduced and trained for as needed.

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
