Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and facilities throughout the feed mill, grain operations, and truck shop. This position helps ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and willing to assist with a variety of maintenance tasks as needed.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on feed mill, grain handling, and truck shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, augers, bucket elevators, motors, bearings, and other mechanical equipment.
• Assist with truck, trailer, and fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and general equipment repairs as needed.
• Maintain and repair grain bins, legs, loadout systems, and facility equipment.
• Complete routine inspections and identify potential equipment issues before breakdowns occur.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance and harvest preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work environment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Document completed maintenance and report equipment issues to management.
• Follow all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with other maintenance and facility duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Previous experience with maintenance is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, and manual labor.
