Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep appliances and building systems operating safely and reliably. You’ll diagnose issues, complete repairs and installations, and communicate clearly with customers and team members. Your work may include painting, cleaning, construction, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This is a paid position.

Duties

• Maintenance: Performing routine and scheduled maintenance, including preventive maintenance on equipment and machines as instructed by management.
• Repairs: Repairing, installing, and replacing damaged systems, fixtures, and appliances as directed by management.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing problems with systems like electricity, plumbing, water, and heat
• Emergency response: Being on-call during office hours to respond to emergency issues
• Record keeping: Maintaining a record of maintenance and repair tasks in the Time system
• Documenting: Before and after photos of work orders and turns
• Communication: Updating Management when work is done or needs contracting out
• Safety: Following safety rules and standards
• Cleaning: Cleaning facilities, equipment taking out trash and cleaning units that have been turned for rent.
• Hours: Tracking hours daily on provided timesheet, to be handed in daily to the office.

Experience

• Essential: Mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall knowledge and hands-on experience with maintenance, equipment repair, or mechanical systems repair.
• Service technician experience and familiarity with appliance repair, appliance installation, HVAC, refrigeration, or HVAC and appliance technology are valuable.
• Preferred: Construction experience, leadership experience, and experience with kitchen equipment maintenance or MRO.
• Ability to follow instructions, communicate professionally, and work safely while maintaining equipment.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
