Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to support the overall upkeep of the hotel, with a primary focus on completing Preventative Maintenance (PM) within guest rooms. This role is essential in ensuring rooms remain in excellent condition, meet brand standards, and provide a comfortable experience for all guests.

Schedule Requirements:

• Part-time position
• Must be available to work weekends
• Flexible to work morning and/or evening shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) in guest rooms on a consistent schedule
• Inspect rooms thoroughly to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality standards
• Replace and clean HVAC/AC filters and units
• Perform basic HVAC cleaning and upkeep
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, and ensure proper lighting functionality
• Conduct caulking in showers, tubs, sinks, and other areas as needed
• Replace door lock batteries and ensure locks are functioning properly
• Check and maintain plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers)
• Ensure all appliances and in-room equipment are functioning properly
• Complete maintenance logs, PM checklists, and documentation accurately
• Respond to basic maintenance requests as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
• Follow all safety procedures and hotel standards

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of basic preventative maintenance tasks
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor maintenance issues independently
• Familiarity with HVAC basics, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in various environments (guest rooms, mechanical areas, etc.)

• Willingness to assist team members and support hotel operations as needed
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times
