Maintenance Technician Cum Welder

Job Responsibilities

• Welding & Fabrication: Perform precision welding (TIG/MIG/Arc) for machinery repairs, structure fabrication, and piping modifications. (Note: Experience with food-grade stainless steel welding is highly preferred).
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment, including spray dryers, homogenizers, auger fillers, and packaging machines.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose mechanical failures, and perform corrective repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Facility Upkeep: Assist in general facility maintenance, piping works, and equipment installation.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance and hot works comply with the company's health and safety guidelines, as well as food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, Halal).
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of maintenance activities, parts used, and machine downtime.

Job Requirements

• Education: Certificate (SKM), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the FMCG or Food & Beverage manufacturing industry.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proven hands-on experience in welding (TIG welding experience for stainless steel is a strong advantage).
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electrical works.

• Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Availability: Willing to work in Bandar Baru Enstek and able to perform shift work or standby duties if required (Normal working hours generally Monday to Saturday, alternate Saturdays).
