Maintenance Technician – General Maintenance

National Charity Schools is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong practical experience in electrical work, air conditioning, building maintenance, plumbing, and general maintenance to ensure the proper operation, safety, and readiness of the school's facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance across school buildings and facilities.
• Perform electrical maintenance and repair work, including lighting, switches, sockets, and related systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Carry out general building maintenance and repair work.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance when required.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, windows, furniture, and other facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify faults and maintenance requirements.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and minimize service interruptions.
• Use maintenance tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow all health, safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain and properly use maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
• Report maintenance issues, required repairs, and material requirements to the supervisor.
• Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Proven practical experience in general maintenance.
• Strong experience in electrical, air conditioning, and building maintenance.
• Ability to handle a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
• Experience in schools, commercial buildings, or large facilities is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, reliable, and well-organized.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good conduct and commitment to workplace health and safety requirements.
• Previous work experience in the UAE is preferred.
