Maintenance Technician I

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary function of this position is the safe completion of assignments in plant equipment, building and grounds maintenance.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain plant equipment and machinery.

2. Perform preventive maintenance on factory equipment.

3. Install and maintain 110, 240, 480 single and three phase electrical systems and lighting.

4. Troubleshoot and repair at a board level programmable controllers and CNC units.

5. Assist in machinery movement and setting.

6. Repair and construction of hydraulic systems.

7. Assist in process piping repair and installation.

8. Repair and construction of pneumatic systems.

9. Repair and construction of machinery and plant equipment by arc or acetylene welding.

10. Assist as required with plant and grounds janitorial duties.

11. Operation of forklift for equipment movement and work platform positioning.

12. Assist in special maintenance projects as required by supervisor.

13. Work required might be up to 30 feet in the air.

14. Attend maintenance schools as required (may require travel).
