Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing tools such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain facility integrity.
• Maintain facilities equipment including extruders , plumbing systems, and other building infrastructure.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
• Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and report issues promptly for further action.
• Assist with installation of new equipment or upgrades as needed.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience including electrical work and troubleshooting using schematics.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), extruders, plumbing maintenance, carpentry, painting, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations).
• Ability to operate hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters.
• Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for overseeing maintenance projects or teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
• Ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Experience with building interior maintenance, facilities upkeep, plumbing system repair, and general electrical work.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial maintenance environments.

This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency within our facility while promoting a safe working environment through proactive maintenance practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
