Maintenance Technician I

Cloudbreak Hawaii, LLC is a supportive housing campus providing affordable housing to over 300 Military Veterans. Seeking a highly organized and professional individual to join our property management team as a Maintenance Technician I to ensure that the property is maintained in the best physical condition possible. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Development.

Basic Functions / Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Handle all aspects of Campus maintenance
• Responsible for turnover process, troubleshooting and repair of all mechanical systems, service requests, and reporting of potential liability concerns or safety hazards
• Assist maintenance staff, provide cross training, motivation, and performance feedback
• Perform varies Campus Inspections and Follow Up to Commercial and Service Work Orders
• Assist with planning and execution of all preventative maintenance programs such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire and life-safety systems

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of two (2) years of general maintenance experience in the industry which may include:

• Self-starter with an ability to work with little to no supervision
• Must be proficient in all areas of apartment maintenance to include plumbing, electricity, painting, drywall, floor coverings, carpentry, locks, appliances, roofs and life safety equipment
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
• Must be able to function effectively in a customer service environment

Physical Requirements

Will engage in:

• Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs.
• Climbing, ascending or descending ladders and stairs, in addition to using feet, legs hands and/or arms.
• Mobility and body agility are important. Must be able to climb stairs.
• Will include walking and/or standing frequently.

Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Salary range is $21 to $23 an hour, according to experience. Must have 2+ years working in a general maintenance experience environment (Property Management preferred).

Position Status

This is a full time permanent position. No remote work.
