What they need
When a machine decides it’s done cooperating, are you the person everyone calls?
Texas Hydraulics is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician II who enjoys figuring out why something isn't working and, more importantly, knows how to get it running again.
This isn't just basic preventive maintenance. You'll troubleshoot and repair CNC controls and other technical electronic equipment, diagnose issues with HMIs, drives and power supplies, and work with everything from motors and pneumatics to conveyors and production machinery.
You'll use schematics, diagnostic equipment, precision measuring tools, equipment manuals and good old-fashioned mechanical problem solving to find the issue and fix it.
What You'll Do
Troubleshoot and repair CNC controls and electronic systems
Diagnose HMI, drive and power-supply issues
Repair and maintain mechanical and production equipment
Read electrical schematics, machine drawings and equipment manuals
Use electronic diagnostic and precision-measuring equipment
Work with manufacturer service technicians to resolve complex equipment issues
Help keep production equipment running safely and reliably
Follow critical safety requirements, including LOTO, PPE and confined-space procedures
Respond to plant emergencies when your expertise is needed
The position requires availability to work all shifts, including weekends, and participate in on-call coverage for plant emergencies.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or GED
At least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience diagnosing HMIs, drives and power supplies
Ability to read and interpret machine drawings and electronic schematics
Comfort using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, management and outside service technicians
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
The Work Environment
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role. You'll work around moving mechanical equipment and electrical systems and may encounter wet or humid conditions, elevated work areas, chemicals and outdoor conditions. The position requires regular standing, walking, reaching, climbing, bending and similar physical activity, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds .
Sound Like You?
If a CNC machine throws a fit and your first instinct is to grab a meter and figure out why, we should probably talk.
Apply today and bring your troubleshooting skills to Texas Hydraulics.
