Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for the efficient operation and upkeep of our physical plant. This role involves performing repairs, adjustments, overhauls, and preventive maintenance on various industrial laundry and plant equipment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a sense of urgency in troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues. Additionally, the technician will be involved in plumbing, carpentry, welding, and electrical tasks as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including:
• Washing machines
• Dryers
• Hydraulic pressing machines
• Ironers
• Folding machines
• Elevated rail delivery system
• Conveyors
• Air compressors
• Water pumps
• Forklifts and scissor lifts
• Heat reclaiming systems
• Boiler systems
• Delivery truck lift gates and dock doors
• Bailing equipment
• Perform welding tasks (MIG and stick) on pipes and steel plates.
• Install and wire 480V 3-phase motors, program inverters for variable speed motors, and network with CAT5 cable.
• Run electrical conduit and pull wire for 480V 3-phase systems.
• Replace hydraulic lines, pumps, and cylinders, as well as pneumatic air lines, regulators, and cylinders.
• Handle plumbing tasks and accurately monitor chemical inventory and pumping stations.
• Collaborate with and report to upper management on equipment-related issues.

Operate the following equipment:

• Steam boilers
• Rotary screw air compressors
• Continuous batch washing machines and dryers
• Incoming water and wastewater pumping stations
• Emergency generator and transfer switch

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, plus 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, carpentry, and welding skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electrical and mechanical schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts.
• Knowledge and application of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and variable environments (hot in summer, cold in winter).
• Capability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 100 lbs.
