About the Position

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Onsite Maintenance Technician to keep our property, buildings, equipment, and grounds safe, clean, and operating efficiently. This position also involves direct, face-to-face interaction with tenants, so strong customer-service and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver who takes pride in quality work and providing a positive experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests
• Communicate directly with tenants regarding maintenance concerns, scheduling, and completed work
• General understanding of plumbing systems.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional customer service at all times
• Enter tenant apartments and occupied spaces to diagnose and complete repairs
• Maintain common areas, buildings, and grounds
• Complete painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs as needed
• Inspect equipment and property for maintenance and safety concerns
• Respond to maintenance emergencies in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and repairs
• Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized
• Assist with snow removal, salting, and winter property maintenance as needed
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and regulations
• Assist with notifications and recertification distribution to tenants.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working directly with tenants face-to-face
• Professional, respectful, and approachable demeanor
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions
• Basic hand and power tool experience
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and work in various conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
