Maintenance Technician (Ref# The Edge)

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to live on-site and maintain one of our properties in Sacramento, CA. Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property.

Perform typical maintenance duties such as, but not limited to:

• Assuring all assigned work orders are accurately completed
• Light electrical repairs
• Light plumbing repairs
• Painting, interior and exterior
• Light carpentry
• Assisting with move-ins, move-outs and annual inspections
• Cleaning common areas
• Maintaining inventory control of all on-site tools, equipment, and supplies
• Replacing blinds, drapes, locks, screens, filters, and bulbs
• Cleaning the trash container area
• Complying with company safety policies and procedures
• Reliable knowledge of all utility routing and shut-offs
• Maintaining the shop, storage, and ensuring that equipment is secure
• Participating in preventive maintenance program

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Must be able to travel between work sites and trainings on a monthly basis or as needed.
• Must be able to be on an on-call schedule for after hours emergencies on weekends 24/7.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
• At least 1 year of experience in apartment and/or residential maintenance.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, 10 pounds over head and scale ladders.
• Pride of workmanship, self-motivated.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Good communication skills and professional appearance.
• Organized with great attention to detail.
• Capable of performing sustained manual labor.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.
• Ability to use property management software to track work orders and other routine tasks and inspections.
• Experience with appliance repairs (preferred).
