Maintenance Technician/Make-Ready

Legacy at Cypress is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team! We are looking for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and can efficiently complete apartment make-readies while providing excellent service to our residents.

What You’ll Do

• Complete apartment make-readies/turns in a timely and thorough manner
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the property
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, appliances, and other maintenance issues
• Complete service requests promptly and professionally
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and ensure units meet community standards
• Inspect completed make-readies to ensure all work is completed correctly
• Maintain and repair property amenities, common areas, and grounds as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service requests
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable housing/property regulations
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to residents
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and property management team to keep the community in excellent condition

What We’re Looking For

• HVAC Certification preferred
• Ability to take emergency calls as needed--every 4/5 weeks
• Previous apartment/multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• Strong make-ready/turn experience
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general building repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify appropriate solutions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to prioritize multiple make readies and meet deadlines
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced apartment community, able to troubleshoot HVAC and general maintenance issues, and committed to providing a great living experience for our residents.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
