Maintenance Technician/Make Ready

This Maintenance Tech/ Make Ready ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained and standards are met regarding to unit turns and helps with the grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal, as well as provide support to the maintenance team members.

What we will expect from you:

• Make Ready vacant units
• Walk the property daily to pick up trash. Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster
• Clean and maintain dumpster areas
• Distribute notices and communication to residents as needed
• Assist maintenance as needed. This may include but not limited to, preventative maintenance to buildings, moving appliances, inspections or work orders in occupied units
• Clean and maintain pool and spa as directed
• Use blower and power washer to keep sidewalks, hallways, parking lots, and walking areas clear of dirt and debris.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, any safety concerns must be reported to your supervisor immediately
• Regular, on-time attendance

What we are looking for

• Previous maintenance experience is preferred

• An associate in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the following: various wrenches, grips, sledgehammer, hammer, snips, posthole diggers, saws, etc. as well as wheelbarrows, dollies, hand trucks, buckets, hoists, jacks, stepladders, full ladders, double ladders.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

• Ability to work outside in different elements

• Excellent communication skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively

Hours:- 40 hours per week; Schedule set Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Rotate on call.
