Maintenance Technician/Painter NOC 73201

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. OINP/EE support if needed.

Responsibilities

· Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.

· maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required.

· Respond to requests from residents for minor repairs.

· Perform daily inspections on the building systems.

· Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters, and plumbers.

· Paint and coordinate the preparation of housing units prior to the arrival of new residents.

· May move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.

· May supervise other workers.

• Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and communicating effectively with team members and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of building systems, electrical systems, and mechanical principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable, ensuring positive interactions with clients during maintenance visits.
