Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy.
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools with precision and safety.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to maintain healthy plant life.
• Conduct plant identification to assess health needs and apply appropriate horticultural practices or pest management techniques.
• Maintain grounds by performing snow plowing during winter months and managing seasonal landscaping tasks.
• Implement safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with tree care, gardening projects, landscape design enhancements, and the installation of hardscape features as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping and groundskeeping equipment.
• Strong outdoor work experience with a focus on grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
• Knowledge of plant identification, pesticide management, irrigation systems, and lawn care techniques.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use.
• Experience in snow plowing or winter weather maintenance is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
