Title: Maintenance General Staff Laborer

Direct Report: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The responsibility of the Maintenance Worker is to keep the facility and equipment in good working order through regular maintenance, repairs, and preventative measures for our 117-bed facility at Wayne Woodlands Manor. The goal is to ensure that our facility and grounds are always in good and safe condition.

Qualifications:

· Must have a high school diploma; degree from vocational school will be a plus.

· Knowledge and skills in general carpentry, shop mechanics, and landscaping.

· HVAC knowledge a plus.

· Must a valid state issue driver’s license and good driving record.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Inspecting the facility periodically to identify potential issues.

· Fixing minor issues like plumbing leaks, electrical problems, or drywall damage.

· Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment.

· Plumbing: Repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintain water systems.

· Electrical: Replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical outlets, and maintaining electrical systems.

· Carpentry: Making furniture repairs, fixing doors, and performing drywall repairs.

· Painting: Painting interior and exterior surfaces, and patching walls.

· Floor Care: cleaning carpets, stripping, and waxing.

· HVAC: Maintaining and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.

· Landscaping: Mowing lawns, trimming trees, and maintain grounds.

· Equipment maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on various equipment, such as vehicles and medical equipment.

· Assist with resident transports when needed.

Specific Requirements:

· Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

· Deep understanding of how equipment, machines, and systems operate.

· Ability to read and understand technical manuals.

· Ability to use power and hand tools.

· Must be able to read and write the English language.

· Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

· Must possess excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills to complete daily tasks.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently throughout the workday.

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

· Mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and fit into tight spaces.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
