Maintenance personnel is responsible for the general upkeep of the building. You will respond to the need for repairs or projects that are assigned to you by your department head or duty manage while working in accordance with the Health and Safety policy of the hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General painting and wallpaper repairs

Electrical/ HVAC repairs

Respond to guest calls/requests in a timely manner and provide outstanding customer service

Perform meter readings, mechanical checks, etc.;

Perform adjustments and minor repairs on doors, flushometers, lights, ceiling tiles, etc.

Perform preventative maintenance

Assist and support the team with operational items

Maintains a safe and healthy work environment

Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Task Orientated and self motivated

Action Plan Orientated

At least 3-5 years of experience in commercial / residential construction

Holds a recognized related trade certification preferred

Physical strength, stamina, and agility

The ability to work alone, or with little supervision

Strong ability to prioritize tasks

Team Player with a positive attitude

Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility

Must have legal permission to work in Canada
