Maintenance Worker

lifempowered, a St. Helens-based nonprofit, is in need of a Part-Time Maintenance Worker to support the general maintenance of our group homes, vehicles, and administrative office.

This part-time (20 hours per week) position will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Troubleshooting appliance and building issues.
• House painting, indoors and small scale (like a room).
• Light vehicle maintenance, like oil changes, checking the fluids, replacing windshield wipers, etc.
• Seasonal landscaping.

The work schedule is flexible. Most tasks can be completed any day of the week.

Our ideal candidate has previous building maintenance or construction experience. Experience with hand/power tools and troubleshooting is required. Strong communication skills, a safety-first mindset, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, fiscal responsibility, and a high attention to detail are also required.

This is a hands-on position. The physical requirements include climbing ladders, entering crawl spaces, safely lifting heavy items, bending, squatting, using hand/power tools, and driving.

Only candidates with a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a state-mandated background check will be considered.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
