Maintenance Worker

Minimum Certificate in Engineering or related field.

Job Purpose

• To support the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
• To provide shift standby support during production and respond to equipment breakdowns and utility-related issues.
• To perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facilities, and utility systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and GMP-compliant operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, facilities and utilities.
• Assist in installing and dismantling mechanical parts under the guidance of Technicians or Senior Technicians.
• Perform routine housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of the workplace in accordance with the 5S concept.
• Carry out daily inspections, equipment checks and complete monitoring checklists for critical utilities.
• Follow all safety requirements, GMP guidelines and SOPs while performing assigned duties.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
• Minimum Certificate in Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Physically fit and willing to perform hands-on maintenance work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work on shift.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ability to use common mechanical hand tools safely.
• Willingness to learn operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Positive attitude, discipline and good attendance.
• 1–2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, food, chemical or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, ISO or PIC/S requirements.
• Basic troubleshooting skills in mechanical or electrical systems.
• Poor safety awareness or history of unsafe work practices.
• Unwilling to perform hands-on maintenance or shift/overtime work.
• Frequent absenteeism or poor punctuality.
• Difficulty working or communicating in a team.
• Unwillingness to learn new equipment or maintenance skills.
• Poor housekeeping practices and lack of commitment to 5S.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
