Maintenance Worker/Trainee

Maintenance Worker/Trainee: The Maintenance Worker/Trainee will support all departments in the fields of general carpentry (i.e. building walls, wall repair, door installation and repair) as well as light electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair. Must have the ability to work with both management and production supervision to achieve the company's production goals. This position works in a manufacturing environment. **Willing to train**

Responsibilities:

• Monitors and performs preventative maintenance to assure cost-effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program to provide maintenance by manufacturers' specifications.
• Performs repair work on equipment, utilities and systems as assigned by supervisor
• Performs electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, as well as mechanical. Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used.
• Reviews work orders to ensure proper documentation.
• Assists operators in the use of safety equipment and procedures.
• Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school/Certifications/Licenses a plus
• Experience working in machine and equipment repair and electrical a plus

Skills:

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
• Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance and repairs and replacement
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties
• Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports and maintain accurate records
• Basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics and structural maintenance
• Basic understanding of industry codes and standards
• Must follow all company policies, practices and regulations to include Safety and Quality.
