Maintenance/Custodial Technician

Newby Management is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance/Custodial Technician to help maintain our community in a safe, clean, attractive, and well-functioning condition.

Position Summary: The Maintenance/Custodial Technician is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, cleaning, grounds care, and upkeep of community buildings, facilities, amenities, equipment, common areas, and grounds. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, can work independently, and is able to identify and address maintenance and cleaning needs without constant supervision.

Some duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine general maintenance
• Clean and maintain community buildings, offices, restrooms, amenities, recreational areas, and common areas.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, window cleaning, trash removal, and periodic deep cleaning.
• Assist with pool/spa cleaning, maintenance, and amenity upkeep as assigned.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, pressure washing
• Landscaping, mowing, edging, etc.
• Clubhouse maintenance
• Laundry facility restrooms
• Street and common areas
• Respond to maintenance and custodial requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow all safety procedures, manufacturer instructions, PPE requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with community improvement, renovation, installation, and construction projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, move tables and chairs, organize storage rooms, closets, etc.
