Duties

• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using industry-standard table management systems such as Toast POS and OpenTable, ensuring optimal seating arrangements and waitlist organization
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive guest services that foster a positive dining experience
• Oversee host/hostess activities, including seating guests promptly and managing wait times with clear communication via phone and in person
• Coordinate with food service staff to ensure timely table turnover and maintain smooth restaurant flow
• Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing information about reservations, wait times, and special requests while practicing excellent phone etiquette
• Maintain organizational skills to oversee reservation logs, guest preferences, and special occasion arrangements
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure all guest interactions align with hospitality best practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant reservation management and host/hostess roles within a busy dining environment
• Strong background in food service operations with excellent customer service skills
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS and OpenTable; experience with POS systems is essential
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clear phone communication and guest relations
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing inquiries, and POS transactions accurately
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
