Now Hiring: Maître d' | Coucou Venice

Coucou is a French-inspired neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Venice, and we're looking for a warm, polished Maître d' to be the face of our dining room.

You're the first impression and the lasting one. Someone who makes every guest feel like a regular from the moment they walk in. You take ownership of the floor, lead with hospitality, and keep every service running beautifully behind the scenes.

What you'll do:

• Own the full guest experience from arrival to farewell
• Manage reservations, VIPs, and dietary notes in Resy; maintain a 100% confirmed house every service
• Lead pre-shift with the FOH team: 86s, menu updates, VIP notes, and policy reminders
• Coordinate table turns, staff breaks, and floor coverage throughout service
• Touch every table and personally handle guest concerns with care
• Oversee opening and closing duties and set the standard for the dining room
• Submit a detailed EON report to ownership before leaving
• Approve comps, voids, and employee discounts; flag inventory and operational needs

What we're looking for:

• Prior Maître d' or senior host experience in a full-service, upscale casual or fine dining environment
• Natural leader with a calm, confident, and welcoming presence
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Experience with Resy, Toast, and Sling is a strong plus
• Professional appearance and a genuine commitment to hospitality

Training + Compensation:
The position begins with a two-week training period paid at the applicable minimum wage. Upon successful completion of training and transition into the Maître d' role, the employee will move to the position's regular hourly rate.
