Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of units or facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform repairs on plumbing systems, electrical equipment, HVAC units, and building interior components using schematics, hand tools, and specialized electrical equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Execute carpentry tasks including painting, drywall repairs, door adjustments, and other interior finishing work to enhance visual appeal.
• Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and other building infrastructure to ensure optimal operation.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Carry out maintenance painting and cosmetic touch-ups to prepare units for occupancy or turnover.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or client concerns promptly and professionally during the make-ready process.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC repair, and general mechanical knowledge.
• Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters.
• Hands-on experience with welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and the use of hand tools.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures within residential or commercial settings.
• Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and interpret technical schematics effectively.
• Strong understanding of building interior maintenance including drywall repairs, flooring prep, and cosmetic upgrades.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly with team members and residents.

Pay: $17.00 - $118.00 per hour
