We are looking for a passionate and talented Retail Makeup Artist for the North of the UK to join our UK retail team and represent BY TERRY at our various locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves makeup, delivering targets, enjoys connecting with clients and thrives in a luxury retail environment.

The Role

As a BY TERRY Retail Makeup Artist, you will be a true ambassador for the brand, delivering exceptional customer experiences through expert makeup application, personalised product recommendations, and outstanding service.

You will combine your artistry skills with a commercial mindset, helping to grow the business while building genuine, long-lasting relationships with our clients.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, personalised customer service in line with BY TERRY’s luxury brand standards.
• Provide professional makeup applications, demonstrations and consultations tailored to each client’s individual needs, style and preferences.
• Confidently demonstrate BY TERRY products, techniques and application methods.
• Build strong product knowledge across makeup and skincare and use this knowledge to provide expert recommendations.
• Achieve individual and counter sales targets and contribute positively to overall business performance.
• Proactively engage with customers and create memorable experiences that encourage loyalty and repeat business.
• Build and maintain a strong client base through effective clienteling and service excellence.
• Support new product launches, promotional activities and events.
• Maintain the highest standards of counter presentation, hygiene, merchandising and tester maintenance.
• Ensure stock is replenished and displayed correctly, highlighting stock requirements to the UK Retail Manager.
• Work collaboratively with store teams, colleagues and BY TERRY management.
• Participate in brand training and continuously develop product knowledge, artistry skills and selling techniques.
• Act as a professional and enthusiastic ambassador for BY TERRY at all times.

Experience & Skills Required

We are interested in meeting artists from a variety of backgrounds. Previous luxury beauty or retail experience is preferred.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained or experienced Makeup Artist with confident application skills (with min 3 years of experience in retailer environment? )
• Enjoys working with customers and is comfortable approaching and engaging with new people.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is motivated, proactive, and comfortable working towards sales targets and KPIs.
• Has a positive, professional and team-focused attitude.
• Can represent a luxury beauty brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Is flexible to work retail hours, including weekends and key trading periods as required.
