Job Summary

Duties

• Deliver comprehensive instruction on makeup application techniques, including bridal, character, and special event looks.
• Teach hair styling skills such as updos, special event hair styling, hair threading, and body waxing.
• Demonstrate proper sanitation practices and safety procedures in all beauty treatments.
• Guide students through the application of eyelash extensions, prosthetic makeup effects, and dermabrasion techniques.
• Provide personalized feedback to students to enhance their technical skills and artistic expression.
• Assist with retail sales by promoting beauty products, upselling services, and advising clients on color coordination and product selection.
• Support student portfolios with photography tips and client communication strategies to prepare them for real-world scenarios.

Skills

• Extensive experience in makeup application, including bridal, character, and special effects makeup.
• Proficiency in hair styling techniques such as updos, special event styling, hair threading, and body waxing.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards within the beauty industry.
• Knowledge of color theory, color coordination, and cosmetic products.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and student instruction.
• Ability to manage time efficiently while balancing multiple classes or training sessions.
• Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on customer service and retail sales.
• Familiarity with photography principles to help students showcase their work professionally.
