M.A.M.F Apprentice/Fitter (Full Time)

We currently have a varied and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter / Engineer to join an establish specialised engineering company. This role will include the following:

Mechanical maintenance, repairs and installation.

Repairs and installation of various types of valves, pumps, flowmeters, piping and control systems and associated equipment.

Routine maintenance service and installation work carried out on site which requires travel and occasional overnight stays. This may require occasional working outside of hours .

Mechanical overhaul, repairs and fabrication at the workshop base

Key duties and responsibilities

Complete Technical Reports to a high standard of English.

Carry out execution of preventive maintenance programs.

Providing maintenance support, entering data, updating equipment records, produce technical reports and participating in continuous improvement follow up.

Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting.

Maintenance and repairs of pumps, filtration, piping, flowmeters, control systems and liquids handling equipment.

Technical support for the plant facilities and services, including compressed air and infrastructure.

Performance of preventative maintenance routines

As part of the technical maintenance team, work with equipment suppliers on new equipment, installations and modifications.

Observant and work from own initiative.

Co- operate and participate fully in training and development and other job-related competencies.

Use of maintenance management system, records of all changes, recording of materials, hours and work carried out.

Responsible for completion of your owned planned work, daily input of all works onto tracking systems, organising of stores and spare parts.

Observing all onsite and legislative rules and be familiar with working in hazardous areas. Atex regulations and zones.

Maintain equipment to a high standard.

Assist with training apprentices.

Liaise with site Managers Control of contractors and acting as liaison person as and when required.

Key experience and skills

Complete Technical Reports to a High Standard.

Possess relevant trade experience.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role outside of an apprenticeship.

Possess mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and or qualifications.

Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and safety.

COMPEX training highly desirable.

Experience of ATEX and working in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance.

Experience in fault finding and problem solving.

Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control system and automation.

Knowledge and experience in maintenance strategy organisation and systems.

Good PC skills essential.

Good communication and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.

Results and quality focused.

Display time and project management skills.

Self- starter who can use own initiative and will endeavour to find improvements and flexible to the needs of the business.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €45,000.00-€56,000.00 per year
