Mammography Technologist

This role involves performing imaging procedures and treatments aligned with radiology standards to support diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Responsibilities include understanding radiologic principles, selecting appropriate techniques and positioning, developing and implementing treatment plans according to protocols, and ensuring proper documentation.

Maintaining equipment and work areas in a safe, clean condition is essential, along with participating in performance improvement activities to uphold patient care standards.

Key duties also encompass completing assigned goals and adhering to hospital policies.

Qualifications require a minimum of 6 months of experience in the specialty area, with certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, and preferred Mammography certification. BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Skills include basic computer literacy. Licensure requirements include ARRT registration, BLS certification within 14 days, and state licensing as needed. Prioritize candidates with ARRT(M) certification.
