Managed Services Operations Leader (Telecommunications)

We are looking for an experienced Mozambican telecommunications professional to lead technical delivery and network operations across large-scale Managed Services projects in Mozambique.

The successful candidate will provide technical and operational leadership across multiple network domains, driving network performance, service assurance, operational efficiency and service quality.

This role requires a proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex network operations and ensure service-level commitments are consistently achieved!

DUTIES:

• Lead technical delivery and operational performance across RAN, Core, Transmission, IP and Network Operations.
• Ensure network availability, reliability, performance and compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee network operations , fault management, service assurance, optimisation and major incident resolution.
• Manage technical relationships and escalations with telecommunications service provider customers.
• Lead 24/7 network operations and maintenance, ensuring effective resource management and operational continuity.
• Drive network optimisation, preventive maintenance, automation, digitalisation and continuous service improvement.
• Manage technical risks, capacity planning, network upgrades and service continuity.
• Oversee root-cause analysis and corrective action s following major incidents and network outages.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal processes, telecommunications standards and applicable regulations.
• Provide technical direction on network evolution, emerging technologies and improvement projects.
• Coach and develop engineering teams , building a culture of accountability, technical excellence and customer focus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• +6 years of telecommunications project experience.
• +6 experience in telecommunications Managed Services and Network Operations.
• Strong technical understanding of RAN, Core, Transmission/IP and network service assurance.
• Proven experience leading large-scale telecommunications operator projects and technical teams.
• Experience working with major telecommunications service providers.
• Strong technical problem-solving, customer relationship management and leadership capabilities.
