Management Account Assistant

About the role

As an Accountant Management Assistant at Mama Nor (M) Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in the company's financial operations. This position is based in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, and will involve a wide range of accounting and reporting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Key in sales, purchases and expenses into the accounting system
• Ensure transactions are recorded under the correct account
• Update records on time
• Record daily expenses and supplier purchases
• Check invoices, receipts and supporting documents
• Arrange documents according to date and category
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
• Prepare sales, expenses, Cost of Sales (COS) and profit summaries
• Highlight unusual expenses or variances to management
• Assist in checking stock usage and Cost of Sales

About you

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and tax regulations
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work
