Company Description We are FBC UK, Fox's Burton's Companies! ……And we bake the UK's most incredible biscuits (we might be slightly biased, but we will leave that for you to judge).

FBC UK was a match made in heaven, with two of the top UK biscuits manufacturers (Burton's Biscuits and Fox's Biscuits) coming together to create one unique, integrated company.

We are home to famous iconic brands, including Maryland, Fox's, Jammie Dodger & Rocky, to name just a few. We are proud manufacturing partners to some of the biggest UK retailers and household names. We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK, located at Isle of Arran, Livingston, Blackpool, Llantarnam, Edinburgh, Kirkham, Batley & Dorset and our HQ in St Pauls. Together, we employ circa 4,000 amazing colleagues across all our locations.

Whilst we know that we have delicious products we also know that that the key ingredient to our success is our people, and the passion we have for our brands. You could be the jammy to our dodger, party ring to our Fox’s or the choc-chip to our Maryland?! We knead people with innovative ideas, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the commitment to drive FBC UK to success.

We are committed to building an inclusive workforce that feels empowered to build a fulfilling and successful career. By embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) we create a supportive environment for people to thrive and strive to have more positive impact.

We understand that having formal and on-the-job learning opportunities is key to our colleagues’ professional and personal growth. We are committed to providing an environment where everyone can learn from each other and grow through a variety of learning experiences.

Our colleagues make our business special. With strong community values, we believe FBC UK is a more prosperous and fun place to work when people feel free to be themselves. We believe in the power of being authentic, entrepreneurial and supporting each other whilst meeting our business goals.

About The Role Management Accountant responsible for providing high quality MI and variance analysis to senior management. Working autonomously within a fast-paced environment, you will be expected to adapt to the versatile needs of the business and prioritise accordingly. As part of a continuous improvement culture, you will actively look for opportunities to introduce changes to processes.

Main Responsibilities As part of the finance team, you will play a key role in continually developing and enhancing finance systems to improve financial reporting, providing high-quality financial information and decision support across the site. You will produce timely and accurate weekly financial analysis and performance reporting, ensuring management has the insights needed to make informed business decisions. The role involves regularly reviewing the effectiveness of financial information and processes, driving continuous improvement and automation to ensure reporting remains relevant and adds value. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of new product costings to support commercial appraisals, as well as assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting activities for both direct and indirect costs, providing detailed and robust financial forecasts to support budget delivery.

You will ensure compliance with company finance policies and external audit requirements, including conducting audits of site assets, reconciling these to financial ledgers, and completing periodic balance sheet reconciliations. Responsibilities also include period-end accounting activities such as accruals and prepayments, maintaining accurate KPI and management information reporting, and ensuring stock control procedures are followed accurately and consistently. In addition, you will support, motivate, coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture that recognises achievement and supports succession planning. Above all, you will champion continuous improvement, demonstrate site principles and winning behaviours, and contribute to the overall financial and operational success of the site.

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who is part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or has developed equivalent experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will have strong financial accounting knowledge, including experience with P&L and balance sheet postings, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting processes, and financial analysis. You will be highly proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in areas such as lookups, pivot tables and data manipulation, and have a proven ability to analyse complex data, draw meaningful conclusions and present insights clearly to key stakeholders. Experience of standard costing, SAP (R3/S4) or other ERP systems, TM1 Cognos, and a background in the FMCG sector would be advantageous.

You will be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels, from shop floor and production teams through to senior management, and possess the confidence and influencing skills required to build strong working relationships across multiple functions and divisions. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment, demonstrating initiative, drive, commitment and enthusiasm. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical competence and excellent IT capabilities are essential, alongside a practical, proactive and commercially focused approach. Leadership potential is also important, with the ability to support, lead and develop high-performing teams while driving positive change and continuous improvement across the business.

Diversity Statement FBC UK is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture in which all employees feel welcomed and appreciated and have the same opportunities. We believe all of our people are equally talented in their own way. In nurturing the curiosity and natural abilities of our employees, we provide them, generation after generation, the means to succeed personally and professionally, enabling them to craft their journey at FBC UK. The diversity of our talents is what makes our work environment multicultural, innovative and highly rewarding.
