Management Accountant

Ascent Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing property business based in South Manchester.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on role offering a great mix of financial reporting, commercial analysis and operational finance, with exposure to both property development projects and operational assets.

Key duties include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis and supporting board reporting.
• Managing month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitoring property development costs, project expenditure and budgets across multiple entities.
• Working closely with operational teams to analyse revenue, occupancy and financial performance.
• Developing KPI reporting and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Supporting budgeting, VAT, CIS and audit preparation.

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong management accounting, analytical and reporting skills.
• Commercially minded, with the confidence to work closely with operational stakeholders.
• Previous experience of multiple sites/multi entity accounting (desirable)
• Previous experience within property, hotels or hospitality (desirable)
• Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a growing business.
• Strong Excel skills

Salary & Key Benefits:
