We are now looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in improving financial accuracy, reporting and operational efficiency.

The Role

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial controls, management accounts, reconciliations and financial reporting across the group.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with strong technical accounting expertise, excellent attention to detail and experience managing complex financial transactions within a fast-paced business.

You will be responsible for ensuring financial information is accurate, payments are correctly allocated and robust financial processes are maintained across multiple revenue streams and payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reports, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Manage daily bank reconciliations, customer payment allocations and financial transactions across multiple businesses.
• Reconcile complex payment arrangements, including card payments, customer finance agreements, subscriptions and instalments.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and supplier payment processes.
• Produce accurate cash flow, debtor and financial performance reports.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unmatched transactions and reconciliation differences.
• Improve financial systems, reporting accuracy, internal controls and reconciliation processes.
• Support the Finance Director with budgeting, forecasting, VAT reporting and year-end accounting requirements.

About You

We are looking for a commercially aware, technically strong finance professional who takes ownership of their work and thrives in a busy, growing organisation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be a highly experienced finalist.
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, Senior Management Accountant or Financial Controller.
• Strong experience preparing management accounts and managing complex financial reconciliations.
• Experience handling high transaction volumes and multiple payment methods.
• Excellent knowledge of financial controls, accounts payable, accounts receivable and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong experience using accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Stripe, recurring payment platforms, multiple business entities or financial process automation would be advantageous.
