Management Associate (Middle-back Office)

About This Role

We are looking for a Management Associate (Middle & Back Office) to support the Company’s finance, operations, and risk management functions, with a primary focus on financial and management reporting, performance analysis, and financial control.

The role offers broad exposure across Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology, including reporting, data analysis, internal controls, process improvement, and system enhancement initiatives.

As part of the Management Associate development path, the successful candidate will gain a well-rounded understanding of the Company’s middle- and back-office functions, with potential opportunities for job rotation or internal mobility across different functions based on business needs, individual performance, and career development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate financial, management, and regulatory reports, with primary responsibility for finance-related reporting and supporting operational and risk reporting requirements
• Conduct periodic financial and business performance analysis, including revenue, expenses, profitability, budget utilisation, and key operational metrics; identify trends, variances, and key observations for management review
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, including tracking actual performance against budget and preparing variance analysis
• Assist with financial control and reconciliation activities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial and operational data
• Monitor and summarize updates to financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and Exchange rules, and assess their potential impact on the Company's finance and related operational processes
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to enhance business processes, internal controls, data quality, and system efficiency
• Develop and maintain dashboards and management reports to monitor key financial and operational indicators and support management decision-making
• Support external audits, regulatory inspections, and internal reviews, including preparation of financial information, supporting documents, reconciliations, and follow-up items
• Participate in process improvement, system enhancement, and automation initiatives relating to finance, operations, and risk management, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in finance, financial analysis, management reporting, audit, or financial operations; experience in a financial institution is preferred
• Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, financial controls, and reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of capital markets, securities, futures, derivatives, or brokerage operations would be an advantage
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and identify meaningful trends and variances
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or other data visualisation/reporting tools would be an advantage
• Strong attention to detail, with good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese to support communication and reporting with relevant stakeholders
• Able to work effectively across Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology functions
