Management Engineering Trainee (MET)

The Management Engineering Trainee (MET) Programme is a key talent development programme designed for fresh university graduates to build the Company’s pipeline of future leaders and support long-term succession planning. Trainees will undergo structured rotations across Technical Service, Facilities Management, Projects and Central Services, complemented by project-based assignments to gain hands-on experience, broaden business exposure and develop practical leadership capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Undergo structured rotations across Technical Service, Facilities Management, Projects and Central Services
• Undertake project-based assignments and be deployed to actual projects and sites based on business requirements
• Support the planning, coordination and execution of engineering, project and operational activities
• Participate in site inspections, project meetings, testing and commissioning, and progress monitoring
• Assist in reviewing technical requirements, drawings, work schedules and project documentation
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders on assigned activities
• Gain exposure to Central Services and understand how corporate functions support business operations
• Support reporting, data analysis, process improvement and other business initiatives
• Prepare and deliver presentations on assigned projects, findings and recommendations
• Develop technical, commercial, operational and stakeholder management capabilities through practical assignments
• Take on progressively greater responsibilities throughout the programme in preparation for future roles within the Company

Requirements:

• Fresh university graduates with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, Business or other relevant disciplines
• Strong interest in engineering, facilities management and business operations
• Willing to undergo functional rotations and project-based assignments across different projects and work sites
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and present information effectively
• Good analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a team
• Proactive, adaptable and resourceful, with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Demonstrates strong potential and aspiration for future leadership responsibilities
