MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

About the role

ABest Express Inc. is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Management Trainee to join our retail operations team. This is a full-time position based in our store located in Binan City, Laguna. As a Management Trainee, you will be on an accelerated development pathway designed to prepare you for supervisory and management positions within our retail and consumer products operations. This role is critical to building our future leadership pipeline and offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of store management whilst working under the mentorship of experienced managers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operations of the retail store, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and cash handling
• Support the store management team in supervising staff and ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times
• Learn and implement company policies, procedures and best practices across store operations
• Participate in inventory management, including receiving, stocktaking, and replenishment activities
• Assist in visual merchandising and store displays to optimise product presentation and sales
• Support the resolution of customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Contribute to achieving store sales targets and key performance indicators through effective team coordination
• Participate in training and development programmes to build management competencies and skills
• Assist with administrative tasks related to store operations, scheduling and reporting
• Support the implementation of promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives within the store

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in retail management, business administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a retail environment
• Strong leadership potential and the ability to motivate and work effectively with diverse team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, managers and customers
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and within a team
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A keen interest in retail operations and a commitment to professional development and learning
• Proficiency in using retail systems and basic computer skills
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing role is highly desirable
• A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and customer-centric mindset
