MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

Job Overview:

We are looking for an energetic and driven Retail Management Trainee to join our team. This structured training program is designed to groom future store leaders by exposing trainees to all aspects of retail operations. You will receive hands-on training in store management, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and team supervision, preparing you to take on an assistant or store manager role upon successful completion.

Job Description:

• Undergo comprehensive training to gain in-depth knowledge and proficiency in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across various supermarket departments. This includes mastering product knowledge, stock display, inventory ordering and control, as well as manpower planning, deployment, and supervisory responsibilities.
• Assist in daily store operations including opening/closing, staff scheduling, and floor supervision.
• Support the outlet team in achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries or complaints

professionally.

• Learn and apply visual merchandising standards to enhance product presentation.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct stock counts, and support inventory control measures.
• Train and motivate store staff to ensure high performance and team morale.
• Participate in sales promotions, campaigns, and marketing events.
• Analyse sales data and provide insights for business improvement.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and retail SOPs.

Job Requirement:

·         Candidate must post at least a Diploma / Degree/ Higher Diploma in any disciplines from a Local/ overseas university. Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.

·         No Working Experience is needed.

·         Must be willing to work in the retail floor of supermarket.

·         The successful candidate will be guided and trained to take on a leadership role in managing a specific department at one of our MATAHARI supermarket branches.

Career Progression:

• Upon successful completion of your probation period, you’ll be appointed as an Assistant Supervisor in one of our departments.
